Logging into the RZA IRC Chat Server

This page will show you how to connect to our IRC chat server. Click on the images for larger versions.

Logging into the RZA IRC Chat Server

1. Open your favorite java-enabled web browser and go to our forum. http://www.team-rza.com/e107



2. Log into the forum with your usual username and password.





3. Once you log in, you should see your name displayed in the "Online" module on the left. If you don't see your name there, you are not logged in. Enter your username and password again.





4. Now, click on the "Clan Chat" link in the main menu. If you are logged in, it will assign your username in the chat automatically to the same display name you have on the forum.




5. If it did not assign your name in the IRC chat window automatically, check the following:
• Make sure you are actually logged into the forum before clicking the "Clan Chat" link.
• Make sure you are not already logged into the forum in another browser window. If you log in a second time, it will not let you use the same name. Close all browsers and try again.
• Make sure there are no spaces in your display name on the forum. If there is, simply replace it with an underscore. To change your display name, log into the forum and click on the "Settings" link in the "Welcome" module on the left. Then change your display name to something that has no spaces in it.





• If it doesn't assign you the correct username in the IRC chat, remember that you can always change your nickname by typing this command into the chat window :
  
  /nick your_name
  
  (where "your_name" is the nickname you want to change to. Note that it needs to be one word, no spaces.) Example:
  
  /nick [RZA]New_Member
